He will outline the current state of affairs with regard to the consolidation and further development of Switzerland’s bilateral path with the EU. This keynote will follow directly after the AGM.\nLink to the SSCC AGM event page\nWelcome!\nSpeaker\nAmbassador Ivo Germann\nHead of the Foreign Economic Affairs Directorate at SECO (State Secretariat for Economic Affairs)\nAmbassador Ivo Germann, lic. oec. publ., has been head of the Foreign Economic Affairs Directorate since 1 February 2023. Previously, he headed the Macroeconomic Support Section in the Economic Cooperation and Development Division. From 2019 to 2022, he was head of Economic, Trade and Financial Affairs at the Swiss Embassy in Washington, D.C. Ivo Germann joined SECO’s Macroeconomic Support Section in August 2000 and was promoted to Deputy Head of Section in 2004. From 2007 to 2010, he was seconded to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London serving as principal economist. On returning to SECO in 2010, he took over as head of Private Sector Development and was promoted to head of Operations South/East in January 2013.\nKindly sponsored by\nTerms & Conditions\nFor event registrations our general policy is that refunds will only be issued for cancellations occurring 3 days or more prior to the event start date. For cancellations 1-2 days before a refund of 50% will be issued. In case of cancellations the same day or non-attendance (“no-show”) the entire participation fee will be charged. In case of no-show for events free of charge, the SSCC will charge a no-show fee of CHF 50.\nAny variation from the above stated policy must be clearly indicated at the time the event registration occurs, and the policy above shall be deemed applicable in the absence of any other notification.\n\n
